| When I completed the “Drive of Your Life” game, I discovered that my personal style profile was: practical, influental, and outgoing. The three careers that match my style are: professional athlete, elevator installer and pump operator. From this information I have decided to explore becoming a pro athlete. I selected this job because I enjoy winning and getting rewarded by hard work and dedication. One of my daily activities as a pro athlete would be to attend scheduled practices. I also have to participate in competitive sports. In addition, I have to improve my physical condition. To work as a pro athlete I need less than a high school diploma. Over 10% of pro athletes have worked at their sport for at least 10 years. I must be good at listening and coordination in order to become a well trained pro athlete. In the United States, the average salary for a pro athlete is $79,460 per year. In the state of Virginia, the average annual salary is $35,732. In the United States by the year 2016 employment for a pro athlete is expected to increase by 19.2%. In the state of Virginia by the year 2016, it is expected to increase by 15%. I am looking forward to becoming a pro athlete in the future. |
